Elon Jewish Life and Elon Hillel will celebrate the Sklut Hillel Center’s 13th anniversary with a Shabbat Oneg and annual Family Weekend Bagel Brunch, bringing together students, families and friends to mark the milestone.

Rabbi Maor Greene delivered this teaching at Elon’s Kol Nidrei Service for Yom Kippur on Sept. 20, 2026. Yom Kippur is a day of repentance and return. It is a day for the Jewish community to consider its actions of the past year and commit to living better in the year to come. This sermon explores the power of speech and how we can choose to use it for good.

This teaching was delivered at Elon’s Rosh Hashanah Seder Service on Sept. 11, 2026. It explores the intersection of memory and shofar, core themes of the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah. This year, Rosh Hashanah coincides with the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

Associate Chaplain for Catholic Life Father Peter Tremblay achieved a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) in Preaching from the Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis, Missouri, in May 2026.

The journey took the participants to and from Rome and then to Franciscan sites in the towns of La Verna, Assisi, Gubbio and Greccio.
