Funeral services for Michelle Pfleger set for Sept. 30

Funeral services for first-year student Michelle Pfleger, who died suddenly on Sept. 24, will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 30 at the Cochran Funeral Home in Hackettstown, NJ, with the burial to follow at the Pequest Union Cemetery, in Great Meadows, N.J. Read this note for details.

Elon University’s Director of Design, Carolyn Nelson, has won numerous awards for graphic design work that has helped to communicate Elon’s character, values and vision for higher education to a wide-array of university constituencies for more than 20 years. But she’s also an accomplished artist whose hand stitched textile collages have been shown in more than 25 exhibits across North Carolina, including most recently at Greensboro’s Gallery 115 in December of 2009 and at the Center for Creative Leadership, through an exhibit that opened August 27.

Elon University website nominated for top visual design

Elon University's website is one of three higher education websites nominated for excellence in visual design in the 2010 eduStyle Awards competition. The site is designed and maintained by Elon's website manager David Morton, web designer Tim Paulson and web applications developer John David Parsons.

Lebanon, Trollinger avenues reopen

May 20, 2010

Two major Elon roads, Lebanon and Trollinger avenues, reopened May 20 after more than nine months of construction on a new pedestrian tunnel between Elon's main campus and areas south of the railroad tracks. Lebanon and Trollinger run parallel to the tracks and were closed to traffic last August.
