Orientation to Elon
These programs are offered throughout the year and provide a welcome mat to professional life at Elon University. Attendees learn about a variety of university topics, including the history and values of Elon, Elon’s strategic plan, our commitment to diversity, understanding sexual harassment and the critical nature of data/information security.
Programs
Joining Elon Cultural Orientation Program
This half-day program is for new employees here at Elon. It is an opportunity for new employees to connect with others and to become familiar with the culture and history of Elon University. Various senior staff and adminstrators share key information about life at Elon, including: Academic Life, Student Life, History of Elon, Elon's Strategic Plan & the Employee's Role, and the Staff Advisory Council. The program concludes with a campus tour on an Elon biobus and a delicious buffet lunch.
Joining Elon Continuity Series
These follow-up sessions to the initial Joining Elon Cultural Orientation programs are intended to provide new employees with information about various departments and procedures here at Elon. It is also an opportunity to build relationships with peers across campus while learning about the opportunities and procedures that can assist employees in their current positions. They will be held in Oaks 212 from 12:00-1:30 and includes a buffet lunch. Registration is required. Please click here to register for the upcoming session.
