Global Strategic Plan: 2023–2030
Elon University’s Global Strategic Plan (2023–2030) outlines a shared framework for strengthening the global dimensions of the Elon experience. Building on decades of leadership in 
global education and aligned with the university’s broader strategic vision, the plan affirms global learning as an integral part of a student’s academic and co-curricular journey, from the classroom to community engagement at home and abroad.
Developed with input from more than 300 members of the Elon community, including faculty, staff, students, alumni, and administrators, the plan reflects both the institution’s established strengths and its priorities for continued growth in global engagement., from classroom to co-curricular efforts to community engagement at home and abroad.
The plan is organized around four interconnected themes, each designed to strengthen and extend Elon’s global impact:
DeepenEnhance the quality and integration of global experiences, ensuring students can reflect on and connect learning across contexts — on campus, abroad, and in their future careers. |
SupportProvide robust structures and resources to support international students, faculty, and staff, and foster a community where global learning thrives across identities and disciplines. |
IntegrateEmbed global perspectives into advising, curricula, co-curricular programs, and campus life so that global learning becomes a connective thread throughout the student experience. |
ExpandGrow Elon’s global presence through new partnerships, innovative overseas programs, and strengthened international collaborations that elevate opportunities for students and faculty worldwide. |
