iMedia Capstone Exhibition to highlight innovative thesis projects

On May 21, the evening before their Commencement ceremony, 29 graduate students in Elon University's Interactive Media master's program will share their capstone projects with professionals, faculty and staff, family and friends.

Fannique Robinson’s iMedia capstone project is an interactive magazine that aims to integrate art into STEM programs.
The Interactive Media master’s program will host its capstone exhibition on Tuesday, May 21. The event provides the program’s graduate students an opportunity to publicly present their thesis projects, inviting local professionals, faculty and friends to better understand their capstones that range from promotional websites and interactive videos to mobile applications and public interest projects.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held in Long Building and runs from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Meet this year’s Interactive Media class.

Matt Wotus’ project is a front-end mobile app focused on raising awareness for sexual health and wellness.
Held the night before the iMedia Commencement ceremony, the exhibition is a celebration, representing what the students have learned throughout the year. This includes the latest in web development, graphic design, UX/ UI design, and video and videogame production.

During the academic year, iMedia students received hands-on experience in the classroom as well as opportunities to work on projects with real-world clients. Students learned strategies and application of interactivity through content development and marketing, UX design, responsive web design, prototyping, usability testing, analytics, social media, app development, and human computer interaction.
