First-Generation College Students

Welcome to Elon!
Getting admitted and attending college is a huge accomplishment. Now you must navigate college and we are here to support, empower, and celebrate you along the way. Housed in the Center for Access and Success, First-Generation Student Support Services works with first-generation college students to support them in their journey toward graduation and beyond.
At Elon, a student is a first-generation college student if …
neither parent(s)/legal guardian(s) has earned a bachelor’s degree (four-year degree). A student is still considered to be a first-generation college student even if a sibling has already completed a four-year college degree.
Where to Find Us
Come to The Center for Access and Success in the Mooney building (Mooney 302) and speak to our First-Generation Student Support Services team, Kenneth Brown Jr or Cici Salazar for any questions or concerns.
