1. Clean up the Faculty Handbook
  2. Tie up any loose ends from the P&T proposal
    1. Complete vetting of the Departmental Scholarship Documents
    2. Examine other recommendations from the Task Force
  3. Task Force on Task Forces – policies and procedures for creating Task Forces and what happens with their reports.
  4. Revisit the Final Report of the Service Task Force
  5. Revisit the Final Report of the Task Force on the Role of the Department Chair
  6. Elon has an institutional goal of increased diversity of the faculty which has translated to elements of the hiring process intended to help increase the diversity among those hired. Unfortunately, research both inside and outside of the institution has shown that, once hired, minority faculty members face challenges above and beyond those faced by the rest of the faculty. We should (form a group to) investigate those challenges in the context of promotion and tenure at Elon and make recommendations to help mitigate the differences.
  7. Examine long-standing procedures and processes that might be updated to reflect our current size and state.
