ECO 4701
This course is focused on learning how economists and other quantitative social scientists approach answering questions about cause and effect. In this course, students learn various econometric techniques for approaching these questions (e.g. OLS regression with controls, Randomized Experiments, and a series of common quasi-experimental designs), the limitations of these approaches, the assumptions embedded within these approaches, and how to
interpret the results of each in a given context. Students learn to apply these methods using software tools (primarily Stata). Achieves technology student learning outcomes d and e.
