How to Apply
The Elon DPT program participates in the Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (PTCAS). All applicants must apply through PTCAS.
Admissions Timeline
2024-25 Admissions Cycle
Elon DPT will begin accepting applications for the Class of 2028 (enrolling January 2026) on June 17, 2024.
*Early Assurance Deadline: August 15, 2024
Final Deadline: December 2, 2024
Applications to Elon DPT must be submitted to PTCAS by 11:59 PM ET on the date of the deadline. Applications may be verified by PTCAS after this deadline, however, the Elon DPT admissions committee will not receive nor review the application until it has completed the PTCAS verification process. Note: The PTCAS verification time can take up to four weeks following submission.
Once an application has been received and processed, the applicant will receive confirmation and instructions to access the Elon Application Status Page. It is the responsibility of the applicant to review the progress of their application by monitoring their status page. Note: Please allow up to two weeks from verification for all materials to be processed by the Office of Graduate Admissions.
Application files are reviewed by the admissions committee in the order in which they are completed. To be considered for our earliest interview days, please submit, ensure verification, and complete your application file as soon as possible. Invitations to interview will be extended via email to qualified candidates between September and mid-January. Scheduled interview dates will occur between September and March.
*Early Assurance
Early Assurance — while not binding — is intended for candidates whose #1 choice is Elon DPT and would plan to enroll, if admitted. Qualified Early Assurance candidates are invited to a dedicated interview date in the fall. Last year, over 75% of our Early Assurance interviewees received an offer of admission. Candidates are notified of their admission decision within two weeks of their interview and have until January 16, 2024 to accept or decline their admission.
To apply under the Early Assurance deadline, (1) submit your Elon application through PTCAS by August 15, and (2) answer “yes” to our PTCAS supplemental question about Early Assurance.

Notification of Admissions Decision
All applicants who submit a verified PTCAS application will be notified of their admissions decision in writing via their Elon Application Status Page.
Candidates who have been invited to interview will be notified by the Admissions Committee of their admissions decision within two weeks of their interview. Candidates who are offered admission and are choosing to enroll in the program must confirm their seat in the class by submitting the reply form and a $1,000 non-refundable enrollment deposit by the date listed in their acceptance letter.
