The clinical year in PA school serves as the my favorite part so far by turning the theoretical knowledge into practical application. It's an exciting period where I have been able to interact directly with patients, applying my skills under the supervision of experienced preceptors. Building relationships with patients during this time is not only fulfilling but also essential for developing my communication skills and understanding the human aspect of healthcare better.

I loved the connections and relationships I developed with my professors and guest speakers. I truly think some of the professors are my biggest supporters. They genuinely want to see you grow both professionally and personally. It’s rare to find professors who continue to go out of their way for you.

Specifically at Elon, I believe the support and events at the university make it stand out. Compared to a smaller school, Elon has a graduate events coordinator and it seems like there are always fun events coming up. I am a part of the School of Health Sciences Diversity Committee, so we try and blend medicine and awareness of differing cultures and religions into lunchtime events.
