What do all writers have in common, whether producing haiku, corporate reports, cookbooks, news articles or historical novels?
Research. Writing IS inquiry. While this course will focus on the types of research that professional writers do as an integral part of their process of composing, we will frame the course around the theme of travel writing. We will do a class travel writing project, obtain a mini-internship, and learn how to write a research proposal on workplace writing.
