ABSS Research/Communications internship

The Alamance-Burlington School system is looking for a dynamic individual in his or her Junior or Senior year of undergraduate study, or a graduate student, to provide research and/or communications support to our educational projects. The Director of Student Services needs staff support to create marketing materials and collect/analyze student related data.

The person or persons hired for this project will perform some or all of the following tasks:
– Participate on event planning teams and work on event implementation (e.g. community training programs, fundraising events, etc.)
– Prepare other written materials related to project activities (e.g. brochures, press releases, etc.)
– Work with Student Support Staff to collect data on reflecting student contact;
– Assist with training and technical support for staff collecting data.

Qualifications:
– Good time-management skills and the ability to multi-task
– Strong written and verbal skills
– Self-starter and independent worker
– Strong computer skills (Microsoft office products, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, etc.)

Compensation: Unpaid.
Hours: We need someone for: Summer & Fall 2007. Hours will vary between 10+ hours each week and depending on students’ schedule.
