The Special Olympics in Alamance County is looking for volunteers to help at the SONC Qualifiers. This event is for athletes to qualify for the state level competition in bocce, golf, and cycling.
The events are taking place at Southern High School (bocce), Ace Speedway (cycling), and Indian Valley Golf Course (golf).
The events will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011. Bocce will go from 8am – 4pm, cycling will go from 12pm – 4pm, and golf will take place from 1 pm – 7pm.
The agency is looking for 50 volunteers to help with bocce, 15 for cycling, and 10 for golf.
