Alpha Xi Delta sorority at Elon University is hosting the Step it Up: 5K for Autism Speaks to support the nation’s largest autism science and advocacy organization.
Mayor Jerry Peterman of Graham will be kicking off the event at Elon University’s south campus intramural fields at 1 p.m. on April 15. Senator Rick Gunn of North Carolina will also be attending the 5K. The event is open to the community for all ages, with check-in beginning at 12 p.m.
Before April 15, the adult registration fee is $10 and the day of is $15. For youth participants 12 and under, the registration fee is $5 before the event and $10 the day of.
