More than 400 members of the Class of 2012 made a gift to their alma mater this year, a number higher than any previous campaign on record.

Student leaders collected more than $73,000 this year from seniors, their parents, grandparents and friends through the Senior Class Giving Campaign, and in the process, the Class of 2012 set a university record this year with 37 percent of all graduates making a gift to their alma mater.
More than 400 members of the senior class made a donation, which represents an increase of more than 100 donors from any previous campaign on record. This year’s campaign asked seniors and their relatives to support an area of campus that means the most to their student experience while at Elon.
Senior class president Taylor Martin presented a check for the total amount of $73,868.19 to Elon University President Leo M. Lambert on May 19, 2012, prior to the Commencement exercises.
Martin, Kellye Coleman, Lizzie Johnson, Parker Brown, Zana Milak, Scott Christopherson, Meagan Chieppor, Sarah Graves, Grace Foster and other members of the senior class giving committee led the campaign by encouraging classmates to demonstrate their commitment to Elon by giving back to the university before they graduate.
