Ringelberg speaks on Gender & Japanese Art at Asian Studies Conference

Kirstin Ringelberg speaks on her most recent scholarship into gender and contemporary art at the Association for Asian Studies Conference in Toronto.

Kirstin Ringelberg, Associate Professor of Art History, delivered a paper on Sunday, March 18 in Toronto, Canada, at the Association for Asian Studies Conference. Her presentation, “Little Sister, Big Girl: Tabaimo and the Gendering of Japanese Contemporary Art”, is connected to Ringelberg’s current research at the intersections of identity, historiography, and “global” culture. The AAS conference is considered the flagship conference for Asian Studies worldwide.
