Elon employees are encouraged to sign up for Share the Ride NC, an Elon-specific ride sharing service.
Share the Ride NC is an Elon-specific ride sharing service available to Elon University faculty, staff and students. Elon community members can use their Elon email address to register an account, create a trip profile and find carpool matches.
The Office of Sustainability is offering one free non-alcoholic Oak House beverage for any employee who signs up for Share the Ride NC and meets with one of their matches before Sept. 16. Employees should email Assistant Director of Sustainability for Education and Outreach Kelly Harer (kharer@elon.edu) with the name of their potential carpool partner and the date they plan to meet. Instructions will follow on how to obtain their complimentary refreshments at the Oak House. This program is only available for Elon faculty and staff.
In case of an emergency, Elon’s Emergency Ride Home Program reimburses eligible faculty and staff commuters for a qualified emergency ride home from work a maximum of four times in a fiscal year.
