3+1 dual degree students travel to Charlotte to meet with RSM US alumni

A meeting facilitated at the new Elon Regional Center in Charlotte allowed current students and alumni to connect.

On Oct. 20, students in Elon’s Accelerated 3+1 Dual Degree program came to Charlotte for the day to visit a few alumni who currently work at RSM US, a leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services in the United States.

The 3+1 program allows undergraduates to get their masters in either Accounting or Business Analytics in their 4th year.

David Wells ’08, Ryan Struble CPA ’16, Drew Dubauskas ’21 and Jack Scott ’22 shared the highlights of their current careers as well as the career advice they would give new graduates and students looking for internships.

The students — Cece Guyader, Kadin Simmons, Trinity Swepson, AJ Faber, Yadira Fernandez Delgado, Anahy Felipe De La Cruz, Ana Sofia Rodriguez, Kate Slemenda — were also able to meet and have lunch with Denis Dotson ’15 and Kaitlin Marvin ’11 at the new Elon Regional Center in Charlotte.

Special thanks are extended to Haya Ajjan, associate dean and professor of data analytics; Raychel Lockwood ’15, director of development for the Love School of Business; Karen Neff, assistant director of the Charlotte Regional Center; and Catherine Parsons, director of undergraduate programs, for coordinating the students’ visit and setting up the day of activities.
