Elon University has started the plan development process to create the university’s next campus wide Sustainability Master Plan (SMP).
The plan development process for Elon University’s next campus-wide Sustainability Master Plan (SMP) has started. In September, campus community members (including students, faculty and staff) had the opportunity to contribute ideas for a more sustainable Elon by attending a listening session or completing the online input form. The SMP webpage has been updated with the input received through the listening sessions and online input form.
The webpage has also been updated to include the full list of working group members – a total of 61 students, faculty and staff from across campus – who will be developing the goals and strategies of the plan on the following topics: academics, administrative services, engagement, facilities, transportation and waste reduction. The working groups have started their work, which will continue through early May 2024.
The next update on the plan development process will be shared in the spring semester.
