Junior Erin Poole received a scholarship at the 2023 Great 100 Nurses Gala.
Junior nursing student Erin Poole from Charlotte, North Carolina was honored at the 2023 Great 100 Nurses Gala. Poole was nominated by her professors for a $1,000 scholarship that she was presented with on Oct. 7. The scholarship Poole received was described as a reward for demonstrating one’s commitment to the nursing profession.
Poole originally came to Elon as a pre-med major in the fall of 2020 but transferred into the inaugural Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) cohort in the fall of 2021. She hopes to one day become a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA). Poole is committed to advancing the profession of nursing and is an advocate for her patients and fellow students.
