Study USA brings Charlotte, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and New York City to campus Feb. 19-23

A week of events is planned for students, faculty, and staff to learn about Elon's programs in major metropolitan areas around the country.

Elon provides unique academic and professional opportunities at our National Campus locations around the country through Study USA programs. There are many upcoming opportunities to learn more about all of the programs.

Elon in Charlotte Meet and Greet

Monday, Feb. 19, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Irazu in the Moseley Center

Drop in to meet previous participants of the Elon in Charlotte program and ask questions of faculty and staff to learn more about the Charlotte experience and how it might align with your personal, professional, and academic goals. Enjoy a coffee on us while we chat about the Charlotte summer and fall programs! Previous participants will share stories about their internship, the neighborhood location, activities, meeting alumni, and how the program benefitted their career goals. We will also be sharing information about the new Queen City Internship Program that helps fund unpaid internships or internships at nonprofits and government entities.

Study USA at College Coffee

Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 9:40 to 10:20 a.m. at Phi Beta Kappa Commons

Grab a coffee and talk to representatives from the Global Education Center to learn about all the opportunities Study USA has to offer! Imagine yourself interning in Charlotte during the day at Bank of America, Fox Sports or an impactful healthcare nonprofit and then spending the evening with Elon friends at a Charlotte Hornets game! In New York City, you could be doing a public relations internship at a cool agency in Manhattan and then catch a Broadway show to see an Elon alum perform. In Los Angeles, out-of-the-box, creative film assignments await you for your reel as well as priceless art at the Getty Museum and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.  The possibilities are endless!

Student Professional Development Center Career Fair

Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 2 to 5 p.m. in Alumni Gym

Stop by the Study USA table at the fair to learn more about all of Elon’s domestic program opportunities in Charlotte, Los Angeles, New York City and Washington, D.C. On-site staff from Charlotte and Los Angeles will also be in attendance to answer questions about the classes, housing, neighborhoods and internship opportunities.

Elon in Los Angeles Meet and Greet

Wednesday, Feb. 21, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Snow Family Grand Atrium, School of Communications

Meet the new director of Elon University Los Angeles, Brad Lemack, and learn more about the summer, fall, and spring programs available in Los Angeles. Elon has had a program in Los Angeles for 16 years! Color Purple star alumna Phylicia Pearl Mpsai participated this program in 2014 and look at her now. What stardom awaits you?
