Elon alumna Diamond Monroe ’24, who impressed Shark Tank’s Daymond John during Fall 2023 Convocation, is now competing in the Entrepreneur of Impact contest.
Elon alumna Diamond Monroe ’24 is making waves in the Entrepreneur of Impact contest, where she currently holds fourth place in her group. The competition offers a $25,000 grant, a feature in Forbes magazine and a one-on-one mentorship with Shark Tank star Daymond John.
Monroe is no stranger to pitching her ideas to John. During his visit to Elon for the Fall 2023 Convocation, she impressed the renowned entrepreneur at a pitch session attended by students in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business. John praised her three-minute pitch for Diamond Monroe Organics as “one of the best pitches I’ve heard.”
Today, Monroe is taking that momentum to the Entrepreneur of Impact arena. To advance, she needs 10,000 votes on the 20th of each month—a goal she’s determined to meet. Reflecting on her journey, Monroe encourages other aspiring entrepreneurs to persist.
“Our dreams are planted in us for a reason,” Monroe said. “If you quit, you’re giving up on the very potential you’ve been entrusted with. Keep going, and trust that your hard work will pay off.”
