Five prolific Los Angeles-based Elon alumni were on hand at Elon University Los Angeles Wednesday evening for a conversation with summer 2025 Elon LA students about their career journeys, relationship building, creating professional opportunities and the post-graduation transition from Elon to entertainment-related industry careers.
Moderated by Brad Lemack, director of Elon University Los Angeles and produced by Elon LA program assistant and alumna Macy Mills ’23, panel participants included Rachel Turner Breit ’19, Caroline Harty ’22, Landon Kestlinger ’19, Raj Rawal ’12 and Taylor Martin ’12. Martin currently serves as co-president of the Elon alumni Los Angeles chapter.
The group discussed their wide-ranging work experiences in production, advertising, business, performance, marketing, brand management, social media and content creation. Both Turner, Breit and Kestlinger also participated in the Elon Los Angeles semester experience when they were students and spoke about the important role that opportunity played in launching their professional careers after their graduation.
Students who participate in the Elon University Los Angeles experience quickly discover that mentorship matters, which was on full display on Wednesday evening.
Through experiential learning, academic classes taught by industry professionals, alumni engagement and other opportunities during their semester in southern California, students begin to carve out and nurture new relationships that can impact both their personal lives and professional careers.
Since 2008, Elon students have had the opportunity to participate for a semester in Elon University’s fully immersive Los Angeles experience. Information and application details for the spring 2026 LA experience are available from Study USA and National Campus Programs.
