Elon School of Law highlighted for enrollment success by Triad Business Journal

The Elon University School of Law was recently highlighted by the Triad Business Journal for its enrollment success this year.

Elon University’s School of Law was featured by the Triad Business Journal for enrolling the largest number of students in the school’s history, more than any other law school in the Piedmont Triad.

The School of Law’s 20th class includes 182 members, selected from nearly 1,000 applications. The School of Law also welcomed 47 students into the second cohort of the Flex Program — an innovative, part-time program hosted at Elon’s Charlotte Center.

“Our charge, as we see it, is to make sure that we connect our students and our law school community as much as possible with the Charlotte community, both the legal community, but the public interest community, the business community, as much as possible,” said Zak Kramer, dean of the Elon School of Law.

“We envisioned it as a great way for someone who was already working or perhaps had family or other obligations, that they could take care of those things, during the day, and then the FLEX program is offered in the evening, essentially, between six and nine o’clock in the evening,” said Alan Woodlief, vice dean of the Elon School of Law. “And so, it’s really allowed people, the ability to balance those competing demands between work and other things and law school.”
