The Broadcast Education Association, the premiere international academic media organization, released its second annual rankings celebrating consistent student success in the association’s Festival of Media Arts.

Reno, the founder of Feather and investor at 645 Ventures, is the first of Elon's alumni to receive this honor.

The student-run news organization was recognized widely in the Society of Professional Journalists Region 2 Mark of Excellence Awards, earning first place in nine categories.

"Ignite: A Decolonial Approach to Higher Education Through Space, Place and Culture," edited by Laura M. Pipe and Jennifer T. Stephens, was published by Vernon Press as part of its Series in Education.

Poets&Quants, a business education news source, featured Ava Rosen ‘23 and Savannah Josey ‘23 in its annual showcase of outstanding students from the Class of 2023 who attend a top school for undergraduate business education.

Altmann’s research project involved collecting and testing 2.5 pounds of cigarette butts and devising a cigarette smoking apparatus to find out which metals are being released by littered butts.

Alyssa Martina, director of the Doherty Center for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, is the first recipient of the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Foundation’s  Engaged Faculty & Staff Award, established this year to recognize “extraordinary engagement in Sullivan Foundation programming.”

George is the first recipient from Elon University of this highly selective grant.

Trocki, associate professor of mathematics, and Stimson, mathematics with teacher licensure major, published their research as Proceedings in the Society for Information Technology & Teacher Education International Conference. Trocki presented their research at the annual meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Three Elon undergraduates spoke at the American Academy of Religion, Southeast Region’s Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.
