The national celebration, now in its third year, recognizes the success of those who are the first in their families to attend college.

During Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, Elon Dining and Campus Kitchen are collaborating to help fight food insecurity in Alamance County. Donate five canned goods at Lakeside Dining Hall and receive a free meal. In addition, the Faces of Homelessness Panel will be Monday, Nov. 11.

New Yorker cartoonist Liza Donnelly tackles global issues with humor, intelligence and sarcasm. Her latest project supports the United Nations initiative Cartooning For Peace.

On Tuesday, November 12 from 3:30-5:30 pm in McKinnon Hall representatives from non-profit organizations, rooted in domestic and international causes, will discuss internships, fellowships, post-graduate, and full-time employment opportunities with Elon students who are passionate about building careers making a difference in the world. 

Members of the Theater of Fine Arts from the Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP or Autonomous Popular University of the State of Puebla) presenting ¡Ah pa´calaca! at Elon on Nov. 18.

The workshop, led by Paula Rosinski, professor of professional writing & rhetoric and director of Writing Across the University in the Center For Writing Excellence, will be held Nov. 18.

Timon McPhearson's lecture, "Urban Futures: Transforming Cities for Resilience and Sustainability," was presented by Elon College, the College of Arts & Sciences as part of the annual Voices of Discovery series.

On Nov. 5, the Maker Hub will host an information session about the initiative, which has helped 50 Elon students explore and bring their ideas to life.

The Biology Department's annual TriBeta alumni panel on Friday, Nov. 1, gave students the opportunity to have questions answered about classes, social life, finding a job and taking advantage of all Elon has to offer.

A weekend of reunions and celebrations brought thousands of alumni back to Elon for Homecoming 2019.
