The event is a collaboration between Elon University, the Burlington Downtown Corporation, the City of Burlington and local nonprofits and businesses. 

The annual program for first-year Elon students held Sept. 12 in Alumni Gym offered the Class of 2023 insight into the four virtues that are central to the Elon Honor Code.

The Sept. 24 event is co-sponsored by Elon's Center for Environmental Studies and the Cape Fear River Assembly.

The career event connected over 100 students with recruiters from 12 accounting firms.

The university has a variety of events and programs planned during Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15.

Ten Martha and Spencer Love School of Business students were initiated into the accounting and finance organization.

Jonatan Vseviov, Estonian ambassador to the United States, spoke to the Elon community on Monday about cybersecurity and the continued importance of strong alliances in the 21st century.

The nationwide initiative aims to promote communication and healing between police and people of color in the United States. The Tuesday, Sept. 17, event will include an on-campus screening of the award-winning film “Walking While Black” and a panel discussion with Alamance County community members and law enforcement leaders.

DEEP is the Center for Race, Ethnicity & Diversity Education’s (CREDE) signature program for social justice. We provide spaces for the Elon community to learn about, reflect on, and apply concepts of social justice with a foundation in racial equity. Together, we hope to achieve a greater understanding of identities, power, and their relation to systemic inequities.

The campus Jewish community is preparing for Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, which begins on Sept. 29.
