Danieley Neighborhood is implementing a creative "heist" to introduce residents to key neighborhood staff during the first week of classes. Help them find out what happened to the beloved Danieley mascot, Tusky the elephant.

From late August through October, alumni across the country will have the chance to connect at Welcome to the City events hosted by their local alumni chapters.

Faculty and staff gathered in Schar Center on Monday morning to celebrate the accomplishments of three Elon Medallion recipients and two endowed professorships, as well as hear President Connie Ledoux Book's opening address.

Elon faculty and staff will participate in a full week of activities, gatherings and workshops as the university looks to begin the 2022-23 academic year.

Among those visiting Elon will be actress and activist Ashley Judd, CNN medical correspondent Sanjay Gupta, Pulitzer Prize finalist and author Tommy Orange and author and neuroscientist Wendy Suzuki.

The first 14 Elon Freedom Scholars completed a two-week summer residential program July 1 focused on the study of democracy, leadership and social action. They will continue working with Elon faculty and undergraduates and community leaders throughout their senior year of high school.
