Communications associate professor Anthony Hatcher has written an essay about Amendment One for The Scoop, a blog that critiques media coverage of religion. The blog is hosted by the University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication.

Gerald Knight, assistant professor of music, coordinator of Music Education, voice instructor and director of University Chorale; Omri Shimron, assistant professor of music theory and piano; and Virginia Novine-Whittaker, adjunct saxophone instructor and Elon Music Ambassadors leader, performed a benefit concert in Greensboro, N.C. on Saturday, April 21.

Paula DiBiasio, Assistant Professor - Physical Therapy Education, received $2000 from The Walking Classroom Institute for Move, Listen & Learn: Integrating Language Arts Instruction with Physical Activity.

Kevin O'Mara, professor of management, received $2,500 from Small Business Technology Development Center to become a Faculty Liason.

Amy M. Johnson's article titled "Slavery on the Gold Coast and African Resistance to Slavery in Jamaica during the Early Colonial Period" was accepted for publication in vol. 18 of LIMINA: A Journal of Historical and Cultural Studies.

A new CD release on the Ablaze label features assistant professor of music, Omri Shimron (piano), on a new work by composer David Lipten.
