Students describe their excitement to kick off the 2021-22 academic year and the newly established Department of Nursing looks to hit the ground running.

The annual program for first-year Elon students occurred in Alumni Gym Monday morning and offered the Class of 2025 insight into the four pillars of honor that are central to Elon University.

Close to 1,700 members of the Class of 2025 and new transfer students gathered with their families and friends Under the Oaks on Saturday to participate in this university tradition.

The special event is planned for members of the Class of 2024, which due to the pandemic were not able to enjoy the traditional welcome to campus most first-year students receive.

The Elon University community welcomed the 1,600 students from the Class of 2025 and nearly 80 transfer students with open arms as these newest Elon students moved into their new homes.

Created as Elon prepared to welcome its inaugural cohort of nursing students, the center will offer an array of capabilities and training to over 250 students in the School of Health Sciences.

Throughout Fall Semester, Vice President for Student Life Jon Dooley is providing regular email update messages to keep students and parents informed about the efforts for a healthy semester.

The site is a hub for resources, news and information related to the division's work, which per its vision is “to create a community where people strive to dismantle oppression and where individuals flourish.”

E-Connect, a collaborative effort between the School of Health Sciences, Information Technology, and Teaching and Learning Technologies, will put an Apple iPad in the hands of every nursing student this fall.
