As a lead designer on the NBC Sports on-air graphic design team, the Elon alumnus has been instrumental in this season’s presentations of “Sunday Night Football” and “Thursday Night Football.”

Vreeland is the supervising producer for New York Times Cooking and is making a name for himself being featured multiple times on "Good Morning America," writing recipes and filming content in his supervisory role with The New York Times, and even making the 2023 Forbes 30 Under 30 list for media.

The initiative, made possible by a generous grant from the Scripps Howard Fund, will offer four virtual workshops and an on-campus summer experience.

In the most recent edition of the Elon Journal, seven student researchers conducted an expansive look into a variety of media-related topics, including geopolitics and gender.

The adjunct faculty member in the Elon in Los Angeles program directed the new project set to debut in 700-plus theaters nationwide.

The second annual event, hosted on Nov. 18, attracted nearly 140 attendees interested in the technological and professional potential of the expanding drone industry.

The Associated Press correspondent visited campus as part of Elon’s partnership in the Pulitzer Center’s Campus Consortium, speaking with nine classes and dozens of students.

Colin Donohue, Kelly Furnas and Megan Curling ’23 presented educational sessions while the School of Communications also ran a sponsorship table at the annual convention that welcomed approximately 3,200 attendees.

The second annual event, hosted by the School of Communications, plans to introduce a broader audience to the technological and professional potential of the growing drone industry. While the event is free and open to the public, registration is required.

Led by faculty members David Bockino and Colin Donohue, 25 first-year Fellows and two senior Fellows traveled to Atlanta Oct. 21-22 to visit several well-known companies and sports venues, including Delta Air Lines headquarters, Jackson Spalding PR agency, Mercedes-Benz Stadium and State Farm Arena.
