The grant supports a collaboration between the mathematics club at Williams High School in Burlington and Elon. 

Elon alumna, Jaime Speiser '10, assistant professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Data Science at Wake Forest School of Medicine, provided the keynote address at the May 8 awards ceremony for the Math and Statistics Department. 

The new textbook leads students through inquiry exercises using Matlab and simulations. 

Through this two-year program, five rising juniors will participate in a combination of coursework, undergraduate research and community engagement in multifaith contexts.

The economics and mathematics double major analyzed data from the National Center for Education Statistics’ High School Longitudinal Survey of 2009 to identify the driving factors contributing to female student STEM attrition rates.

Associate Professor of Mathematics Chad Awtrey, math major Peter Komlofske '19, and alumni Christian Reese '18 and Janae Williams '18 have published their article "On Galois p-adic fields of p-power degree" in the most recent issue of the JP Journal of Algebra, Number Theory, and Applications.

Professor of Mathematics Jeff Clark attended the International Conference on Technology in Collegiate Mathematics, where he presented on "How Technology Can Help Develop Student Writing Skills."
