The regional STEM conference for undergraduate students, called Integrating Research in Science (IRIS), celebrates interdisciplinary interactions by bringing together the realms of STEM and STEM-related fields.

The National Conference on Undergraduate Research from April 7-9, brings together thousands of undergraduate students from across the country.

After three years of exploring the economic and social benefits of developing sports facilities and events, Sarah Dawkins '25 presented her findings at the February conference and won the top prize for undergraduate research.

This year's conference centered around the theme of “Transitions.” Student paper topics ranged from the comparison of Gen X and Gen Z views of religion to the evolution of sexual and Christian themes in vampire films.

The conference was established in 2018 to give students from smaller institutions without the resources of major universities the opportunity to present their research and interact with students from other colleges and universities.
