Elizabeth “Liz” Kwon L’23 will be the first alumna of an Elon graduate program to serve a two-year term on the governing board that advances the university’s mission by overseeing its health, strategic direction, educational policy, and finances and operations.

The university was recognized for standing out within a pool of nearly 600 schools for its sustainability-related policies, practices and programs.

The 2025 Joseph Bologne International Piano Competition will be Feb. 1 and is open to high school pianists in grades 10-12. Registration runs through Dec. 10.

Elon continues to be a leader in the “Programs that Enhance Student Experience” category as one of only two colleges and universities in the country ranked in the top 15 in all eight categories of programs linked to student success and positive learning outcomes.

The survey of 800 registered voters in North Carolina was conducted Sept. 4-13 and explored issues such as AI’s role in the election, pre- and post-election violence and which presidential candidate voters favor on many issues.

This year's schedule includes Fall Convocation featuring columnist Arthur Brooks, academic informational sessions, student performances, athletics competitions and social events.

The university has partnered with the Alamance Chamber and Impact Alamance to host candidate forums for the Alamance-Burlington School System Board of Education and the Alamance County Board of Commissioners.
