This Boldly Elon priority will magnify the transformative power of learning-centered relationships at the core of an Elon education. Please join members of the mentoring design team to learn more about the emerging initiatives driving this framework forward and engage in a discussion about identifying institutionally transformative next steps. The primary goal of the “Being an Engaged Student” sessions is to allow students to practice the kinds of academic discussions and activities they will encounter in our classes. This workshop will be co-led by the associate directors of CATL and the Core Curriculum, and you’ll receive information about both what we’re learning about first-year student engagement and ideas for preparing students to (re) engage with learning as they set out on their Elon journeys.
