This is the first day for collection of school supplies for K-12 students in Alamance County experiencing homelessness. Please support the education of young people in our county. This effort, which will continue through August 23, is co-sponsored by the SGA and the Office of The Dean of Students. More information about drop off procedures will be emailed to faculty and staff.

Events of Planning Week will begin in Elon University’s Convocation Center, the Schar Center. Please feel free to preview information and view a fly-through of the Schar Center, named for Elon parents, Dwight and Martha Schar, prior to the events on Monday morning.

Parking will be available behind the Schar Center, and you are welcome to park there. A map of the facility including designated entrances can be found here.

Healthy Elon Covid-19 Testing

In line with recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, students, faculty and staff who have not submitted vaccination documentation must participate in weekly testing. Changes to Staff and Faculty Vaccination and Weekly COVID-19 Testing

All staff and faculty who have not already submitted vaccination documentation are asked to do so immediately.

    Intended Audience: Faculty who will be leading Engaged Learning Sessions, especially those leading for the first time.

    On Monday, August 23, from 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 11:40 a.m.-12:40 p.m., first year and transfer students will meet in small groups with a faculty member to talk about learning during and after the pandemic, the Common Reading, and their academic responsibilities for learning at Elon. Today’s session will provide faculty with ideas for facilitating these conversations.
