Elon’s academic and administrative marks follow a structured visual hierarchy designed to maintain clarity and consistency across the university. Official unit marks are reserved for recognized academic and administrative units within the university’s organizational structure.
For this reason, Elon’s unit signature system is intentionally limited to maintain a clear and consistent visual identity across the university.

A system of signatures and wordmarks has been developed for Elon’s academic schools, departments and centers. These marks can be obtained from University Communications in a variety of formats. The marks are designed to provide flexibility for units of the university to produce a variety of official and informal communications.
