A
script titled "Sanctuary" by Professor John Duvall has
advanced into the quarter-final round of the 9th annual Writer's
Network Screenplay & Fiction Competition. This year's contest attracted
2,338 entries from around the world.
"Sanctuary"
was also selected as a first-round finalist in the Scr(i)pt magazine
Open Door Screenplay competition. Approximately 450 scripts were
entered in this competition, and just 29 were selected as first-round
finalists.
The screenplay,
registered with Writer's Guild West, tells the story of Father Martin

a vocational crisis when he falls in love with Sister Teresa, a
young nun. When Bloom's mentor, Monsignor Dennehy, dies violently
and mysteriously, the two lovers are among the suspects.
