Academic Advising Center

The Office of Academic Advising is currently serving students, faculty, and staff remotely. Please email your name, questions, and whether you would like to set up a meeting via Webex. We appreciate your patience and consideration during this time.

Academic Advising is a form of teaching. Advisors provide accurate information to students in a mentoring environment, challenging them to reflect on interests, skills and aptitudes; to think critically about goals and objectives; to select courses and majors; to have a graduation plan and to consider career options.

The Academic Advising Center is staffed with four professional advisors and is located in the Koenigsberger Learning Center, Room 231. The center primarily serves students who have yet to declare a major. Where appropriate, professional staff in the Advising Center supplement the extensive advising that occurs between faculty and their advisees.
