Academic Advising

Academic Advising is a form of teaching. Advisors provide support to students in a variety of ways: mentoring their advisees; challenging their students to reflect on interests, skills, and aptitudes; and asking them to think critically about their goals at Elon and beyond. This intentional approach helps students make informed decisions on selecting majors and minors, identifying appropriate courses to take, and in developing a graduation plan that helps students meet their goals.

The Office of Academic Advising provides support to students, faculty, and staff support on advising topics. We are staffed with professional advisors. We emphasize working with students who have not yet declared their major. And we provide supplemental advising support to faculty advisors and their students who have declared a major.
