Pulitzer Panel broadcast set Nov. 24

The broadcast of the Elon/UNC-TV program, "The North Carolina Newspaper and Public Service" will be aired from 6-7 p.m. Nov. 24. This time slot immediately follows the regularly scheduled "North Carolina People" program hosted by Bill Friday.

The panel discussion, taped at Elon University's McCrary Theatre in September, featured a trio of North Carolina publishing legends: Rolfe Neill, Frank Daniels Jr. and Horace Carter. All three men led their newspapers when they won the Pulitzer Prize for Public Affairs journalism.

The program will be carried statewide on the 11 UNC-TV stations and the 260 cable systems that carry UNC-TV programming. A rebroadcast of the program will also be scheduled for sometime in 2003.
