Students enrolled
in Public and Presentational Speaking courses in the School of Communications
fall semester are taking part in a special two-night event. The
Speak Off! competition will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Dec.
3 and from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Dec. 5 in Yeager Recital Hall on campus.
The event is open to the public.
Mark Fox, Betty
Hatch, Anthony Hatcher and Jessica Gisclair are the Elon faculty
members hosting the event. There will be 12 speeches presented at
each scheduled session. The Dec. 3 speeches will be informative
presentations; the Dec. 5 event will consist of persuasive presentations.
The students will compete for prizes.
