Ray Johnson supervised as the students in JCM 355 Advanced Video
Production participated in the first live, streaming webcast in
the history of Elon University Nov. 14.
The students
streamed a 30-minute, live newscast in November containig sports,
weather and news of the Elon community. The live video was compressed
by a computer in the McEwen engineering room and sent to Elon's
Quicktime streaming server for distribution over the web. Software
support specialist David Morton helped to direct the set-up.
Additional live, streaming shows are planned for spring semester.
