School
of Communications faculty member Vic Costello has been named producer
for the 4th Annual Broadcast Education Association Festival of Media
Arts Awards Ceremony. The event will take place during the BEA's
annual conference in April 2006.
The BEA Festival
of Media Arts is an international peer-reviewed competition for
faculty and student multimedia and video productions. The
competition is sponsored by the King Foundation and Avid Technology,
which award a $1,000 prize and Avid editing software to the Best
of Festival winners in 14 production categories.
J. McMerty,
senior video producer for Elon Television, will serve as the reel
producer for the awards ceremony. Linda Lashendock, assistant director
of instructional technology services and Elon Television, will assist
in the production effort.
