Welcome to the School of Education

Elon's School of Education has as its primary focus the development of leaders in the professions of teaching, physical therapy, sports medicine leisure and sport management. The school prides itself in a student-oriented philosophy, early and continuous field experiences to gain practical experience, and national accreditations of its programs.

The School of Education is the administrative unit for undergraduate programs in teacher education, exercise and sport science, and leisure/sport management. Graduate programs include a master's degree in education (elementary education, special education, and gifted education) and a doctorate in physical therapy.

Teacher education programs include elementary education, middle grades education, special education (general curriculum), physical education, music education, and Spanish as well as secondary education programs in English, mathematics, science and history education. The teacher education programs lead to licensure as a teacher in North Carolina.

In addition, the School of Education houses the North Carolina Teaching Fellows program and the military science program for both Air Force and Army ROTC. We hope you enjoy exploring Elon's School of Education through these webpages.
