Management students are prepared for a number of different positions in project management, data analytics and information technologies, including SAP software, human resources, customer services, and various roles in international business. Our program is dedicated to arming students with the requisite knowledge and skills to thrive in such careers. It focuses on a sequence of integrated courses that gives students an opportunity to specialize in different tracks that prepare them for careers in managing people, projects, processes, and services in both small and large organizations.
Elon's emphasis on small classes and engaged learning means our students know each other, and it helps them work purposefully in small groups. Management students synthesize knowledge and integrate that information in an overall understanding of people, projects, processes and services. They select a track within the management major that will prepare them for careers in project management, human resource management, data analytics and management of information technologies, customer service, innovation and sustainable enterprise management. The international business major prepares students for international business opportunities.
There also are unique opportunities to study abroad, engage in consulting and pursue entrepreneurship education. Some of our students have secured internships with Northrop Grumman, Villa d'Este, BMT Commodity Corporation, Kingsdown, Inc., and Metro Brokers GMAL, to name a few. Our graduates have been hired by JP Morgan Chase, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Thompson Financial and the U.S. Department of Defense, among others.
In short, our students graduate from our program knowing how business works.
