Study Abroad
Programs Application Information
An Elon application is
required for every Elon study abroad program. Some programs
may also require an additional application to be fully
accepted into a program. Below you will find timelines
for submitting your online application for the different
study abroad program terms. All online applications are due
by 11:59 pm on the advertised deadline date.

Winter Term Programs
Online
applications for Winter Term are accepted starting
in April of the previous academic year.
Winter Term 2009 dates
The open online application
period for Winter Term 2009 is from 10
am
on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 to 11:59 pm on
Tuesday, April 15, 2008.
Online applications
submitted after April 15th and into theearly Fall
2008 semester will be reviewed on a space
available basis.
Freshmen are eligible to apply online during their
first semester on campus for the Winter Term of their
freshmen year.

Winter Term 2010 dates
Information regarding
Winter Term 2010 programs will be published
in March and April of 2009.
Semester Programs
Applications for
most* programs are accepted one semester in advance of the
desired study abroad semester. To study abroad in the
fall, you must submit an application by the advertised
deadline (usually mid February). To study abroad in the
spring, you must submit an application by the advertised
deadline (usually mid September).
*There are several
exceptions to the above information. See the following
two paragraphs for more information on the exceptions.
A few semester study abroad
programs require applications to be submitted over the summer
for spring programs and during the winter term for fall
programs. See below for specific deadlines.
The Elon Centre Abroad
semester programs, Elon in London, Elon in Costa Rica,
and Elon in Florence, Italy require online applications
approximately one year in advance. To
study abroad in London, Costa Rica, or Florence,
Italy in the spring, you must submit an online
application by the advertised deadline the previous spring
(usually May 1). To study abroad in London or Costa
Rica in the fall, you must submit an online application by
the advertised deadline the previous fall (usually
November 1).

1, 2008 is the online application deadline for
the Spring 2009 semester program at
Kansai Gaidai University in Osaka,
Japan.
September 8, 2008 is the online
application deadline
for the Spring 2009 semester program in
Perugia, Italy.
September
22, 2008 is the online application
deadline for the following Spring 2009
semester
programs:
-All Fall 2009 Affiliate and Exchange Programs*
(*except for the programs listed for the
earlier deadlines listed above)
Fall Semester 2009
The online application for
Fall Semester 2009 will be available starting October 1,

Summer Term Study Abroad programs.

STUDY ABROAD FAIR
The 2008 Study Abroad Fair will be held on Monday,
September 15 from 11 am - 3 pm in McKinnon Hall.
Mark your calendars as this is a once a year
event with program representatives available to answer all
your study abroad questions.
SPRING CONTESTS
Essay and
Photo Contest entries will be accepted in March of
each year.
2009 Photo Contest
Submission
