Tropiano Shares Ithaca's L.A.
Program with Elon Students

Dr. John Tropiano visited the School of Communications recently to talk with students about jobs and internships in the film and television industry, to discuss the Los Angeles program at Ithaca College and to answer questions from interested students.

He spoke to Ray Johnson's Film & Editing class and held a Q & A session later in the afternoon for students interested in learning more about Ithaca's Los Angeles program.

Tropiano began Ithaca's L.A. program in 1994 and is the editor of The Journal of Film and Video, the oldest film journal in the United States. He graduated with two BS degrees from Ithaca College – Television & Radio and Cinema & Photography. He went on to earn his MA in Film Studies from NYU and a PhD in Film and Television Studies from USC.

He is currently working on an upcoming book, Rebels and Chics: A History of American Teen Film.
