There are some big changes in the Writing Center!

  • We're in a new location with new furniture, to the left of the old WC.  Our check-in station is behind the library's front desk.
  • You can make an appointment online at (you'll need to register and make an account first)
  • Sessions are now .45 minutes long
  • By popular demand, we've expanded our Sunday hours from 2-10pm

- 45-minute individualized sessions
- Consultants trained in writing across the disciplines
- Help understanding an assignment, brainstorming, drafting, revising, editing, & documenting sources
- Sessions on a walk-in basis during open hours

Our Philosophy
To help all memebers of the university community (students, staff, and faculty), as well as community members, with all of their academic, personal, and professional writing needs and questions. In regard to students, we are specially prepared to help them develop rhetorical strategies for producing more effective texts in any discipiline or genre.

Please notice that we are not a "correction" or "editing" service.

About Us & How to Become a Consultant
Elon's Writing Center consultants are all experienced undergraduate students from a variety of majors. All of our consultants must successfully complete "English 319: Writing Center Workshop" in order to work in the Writing Center, so they are all trained in consulting practices and able to help you with writing from any discipline.
