Our Philosophy
To help all members of the university community (students, staff, and faculty), as well as community members, with all of their academic, personal, and professional writing needs and questions. In regard to students, we are specially prepared to help them develop rhetorical strategies for producing more effective texts in any discipline or genre.

Please notice that we are not a "correction" or "editing" service.

About Us & How to Become a Consultant
Elon's Writing Center consultants are all experienced undergraduate students from a variety of majors. All of our consultants must successfully complete "English 319: Writing Center Workshop" in order to work in the Writing Center, so they are all trained in consulting practices and able to help you with writing from any discipline.

If you're interested in becoming a consultant, contact either The Writing Center Director or the Senior Program Coordinator for more informaton.
