Who is the Elon University Board of Visitors?

The Board of Visitors is a volunteer advisory board to Elon University. The board members initiate and conduct programs and activities for the advancement of Elon University, which are congruent with the programs, plans and policies of the Administration and Board of Trustees.

The Board of Visitors Purpose Statement

The purpose of the Board of Visitors is to recommend to the Administration and the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees measures to strengthen the University and to assist in The Elon Commitment.  The primary focus will be on:

• interpreting Elon University programs and policies to prominent persons and institutions to which they are connected;
• providing diverse technical, professional, and business resources for the advisement and assistance to the Administration and the Board of Trustees; and
• identifying and securing financial and volunteer support for the University through annual, capital and planned gifts.

The Board of Visitors is a select group chosen for their ability and willingness to assist the University by fulfilling the Board’s purpose.
