2013 Black Alumni Summit Highlights

The 2nd Black Alumni Summit was an impactful weekend. More than 45 EBAN alumni, students, faculty and staff engaged in conversation to examine the future direction of EBAN and what can be done to continue supporting current Elon students, faculty and staff.

The weekend began with an Appreciation Reception and Dinner at the Alamance Country Club. Elon President Leo M. Lambert shared several highlights and milestones related to the state of African American students, faculty and staff at Elon.

The summit culminated with an overview of “Building the Vibrant Alumni Network (BVAN)” and how EBAN enhances the overall Elon Alumni Network, a student panel where we were able to gain more insight into the black student experience, and round table discussions to examine the future of the black experience for Elon students and our alumni.

For more information about the summit, or how to get involved, contact Tracey Helton Lewis '93 P'10, President of EBAN.
